Character

The most important virtue of a person that counts in any circumstances is Character.

Character mainly refers to the Honesty, Integrity, and Sincerity. Of these, Honesty is the vital element to make a person an outstanding personality.

Honesty is becoming a rare virtue (or commodity, in commercial parlance) in the present world. Nowadays, this quality is more found in the preaching and not in practice. The reason might be that the world is market-oriented rather than conscience-oriented.

The value of Honesty has been illustrated, experienced, and lived by many great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi. Reproducing the words of Great People to drive the point home with the sole purpose of spreading the importance of "HONESTY".
  • Honesty is the best policy.
    Benjamin Franklin
  • No legacy is so rich as honesty.
    William Shakespeare
  • I am afraid we must make the world honest before we can honestly say to our children that honesty is the best policy.
    George Bernard Shaw
  • Honesty is for the most part less profitable than dishonesty.
    Plato
  • He that fails in his endeavors after wealth or power will not long retain either honesty or courage.
    Samuel Johnson
  • Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.
    Thomas Jefferson
